Introduction to the issue

With cosmetic surgery becoming increasingly available and affordable today, we see ever more people resorting to surgical procedures to change aspects of their appearance that they deem unattractive. In fact, methods that were previously seen as drastic may even be considered mainstream today. The popularity of cosmetic surgery is, in large part, due to its proliferation among the rich and famous.

Few would deny that everyone has the right to look beautiful. Yet, not everyone can agree on how far is too far in the quest for beauty.
